20 Days!!
It's been some time since I've left my regular imprint of myself on the internet. Part of the delay was me being on vacation, part was I couldn't find time, but the real big reason is when I tried, my typo installation wouldn't fire up the administration application. After some work under the hood, I managed to get back in to the back end.
My vacation was a wonderful break from the grind of the week. I managed to spend some time at my Grandmother's, my mother's and my brother's homes, indulging in much needed sleep and not so needed delicious food. Grandma indulged us with some Scrabble, and Auntie Net hooked us up with some cinnamon buns. Ma was all about turkey dinner and her new motor home, and at my bro's place I was indulged with some windows gaming, and my first hands on experience with the Bell HD PVR.
Thankgiving was a wonderful get together with a bunch of family. I did my duty and took as many pictures as my camera could handle. My new niece is some cute, and you can see the best of the photos I took in this flickr set.
My return to Cowtown, was overrun with activity. Sonja and I went to see Delirium put on by Cirque du Soleil. An excellent show, although it was a bit of a departure from what Cirque usually does. The evening after, I attended a Lee Valley Seminar where I learned a bit about wood turning, which in turn made me want to buy a lathe. Heading into this past weekend, I was filled up with meetings, and appointments, and in the free time I did have I hooked my PC up to my new television through the HDMI port, and installed a trial version of Beyond TV, and helped build a cat tree.
Now I'm staring down the barrel of another work week, and can't wait for the weekend to start once again.
