I Feel Terrible

Parametics

People close to me know that I can, and often do, eat anything. I prefer spicy foods, can devour a jar of pickled peppers over an evening and not notice any difference in the digestive track. I've survived road side cheese, chicken cooked in the ground, Canadian Chinese Food, standing water in the woods and eating cheese by the pound. I've only once had food poisoning, resulting from a meal in the Chili's in Cairo. All in all, I think that my ability to intake, make use of, and discard food is top notch.

That was until this morning. I awoke with a slightly upset stomach and was unable to complete the S-S-S combination, my first warning sign. On my way into work, it only got worse, and I started working my way through meals I've had in the last while. Nothing was raising any alarms, but my stomach was getting heavier and heavier, feeling like it was trying to digest a heavy meal that I never ate. I excused myself from work, and tried my hardest to keep hydrated, and rested. Now as the evening draws near, after finishing a safe meal of spaghetti, I feel like I've been eating concrete mix for the last few days. I'm not nauseated, but suffer from internal temperature control problems. I'm starting to suspect a virus, but I'm not showing any of the usual symptoms.

I'm hoping my body figures out what is going on, because feeling like this is not a whole lot of fun. If comfort does not return to me in the night, I'm going to hit the doctor up for some advice and a hope at alleviating these symptoms.
