Photo Friday: Religion
Photo Friday snuck right up on me.
We are heading up to the Peace Country after working hours. It's going to be a tight trip, with only one full day in the middle to see everyone and get everything done. Unfortunately both of us need to be in the office on Monday, so there is no extra leverage on this weekend's travel.
This week's Photo Friday challenge was made for me. The difficulty was in picking something that was good. I have wonderful landscapes of Ribbon Valley and Larch Valley, although both are just really nice landscapes and not terribly capturing photos. I think this choice has enough going on that people will stop, perhaps even for a fraction of a second, to see what is happening.
After work today started out a bit like Christmas. The business picked up a new lighting unit, some light modifiers and a crazy long boom arm. My business partner and I were like kids sitting around the tree, fighting to open packages. We quickly set about setting up our new gear so we could start taking photos when the 11 pound weight, while still attached to the end of the boom, pulled the stand over and smashed to the floor. Now, in the center of the floor between the living room and where the kitchen used to be is a massive dent in our newly installed floor. I very quickly became very intensely mad, knowing that the damage was forever going to mar the floor that hasn't even really been finished.
The pain was temporary, as very quickly playing with our two very powerful lights allowed us to create imagery that was previously impossible.
Photo Friday snuck right up on me. Luckily, I have something that may fit the theme.
